Blog 5: Changes to my study program

Hi everyone! Today I am going to write about changes that could be made in my career. About the curriculum I think is very complete, in fact it was one of the reasons for choosing the University of Chile. I like it very much that can be followed immediately a more specific line of psychology. Regarding the length of studies, I think that is a necessary time for training and about the workload I consider that so far that are not so time-consuming the different subject but in second year there are a lot of subjects, and this leads to an increased workload.

While with respect to the faculty facilities I think that there are many things that need changes. Particularly in the faculty of social sciences we need more study spaces and spaces where we can take shelter from the cold. Finally, it is necessary to enable the casino that we have in the faculty because there are few places to get food. Even these were some of the demands that existed within the mobilization that took place last month.

If we talk about the use of technology, I think it is still necessary to benefit more from them. Such as leaving recording of classes, having complementary materials or videos. Also, I think that is very useful the technology in the class to make activities more interactive and thus change a little bit the dynamics of the classes.

    Hi Jimena! Totally agree with the infraestructure changes to study and eat, considering that we spend most of our time in the university. Same with the use of technology in classes.

    Hello Jimena, I think that we could take more advantage of technology too, and as Ayleen said is very important to pay more attention to the places where the students pass the most part of the time, it's the minimum for me. Take care!

    Hi Jimena! I completely agree with what you said about the use of technology. I also think it would be a good idea to record the classes, that would be so relieving for us!

    Hi Jimena. I totally agree that the faculty of social sciences lacks more study spaces and places to shelter us from the cold, with this we could study better and it would be great for people who can not study at home and must do it all day at the university. c:

Blog 4: Post-Graduate Studies

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to talk about postgraduate studies. I considered studying in a Master’s Program because I really like to learn new things and is an opportunity to enrich my knowledge. But now I'm still not sure in which area specifically but I have some ideas. First, I want to finish my current career and then I want to start working for a few years before starting to study again. I want to study some related with psychology because I really like my career and I think that is necessary to professionalize and get more and better tools and skills to help others. I think that the subjects that I would like to study are child's phycology, familiar therapy, and game therapy because my dream job is related to these areas.
