Blog 3: My dream job

Hi everyone! Today I am going to talk about my dream job. Even before I started to study psychology, I imagined my dream job, principally I want to have a job focused in child psychology. Still I don´t know if I want to work in a clinic or in a community, because I really like social psychology.

I participate in an organization with children is social risk and my dream job is that I can to collaborate with the psychology in this area. I want to can help the people especially children because I think that in this age that the main problems appear. And in that social context, exist a lot of problems in the family, school and friendships.

Also I prefer the child psychology because I think that the therapy can be more didactic and fun. In fact I want to take a master´s degree about the importance of the game.

For this job I need some abilities like know listen to the patient, empathy, know to manage groups. About the salary, I don´t have any preference, only I want a job that satisfies my basic necessities. The salary is not my incentive to work.

I study psychology because I think that mental health is very important and it needs more relevance in the society. I think that the family is very important in the mental health of the child, so I want to study more about family therapy.
