Blog 4: Post-Graduate Studies


Hi everyone! Today I'm going to talk about postgraduate studies. I considered studying in a Master’s Program because I really like to learn new things and is an opportunity to enrich my knowledge. But now I'm still not sure in which area specifically but I have some ideas. First, I want to finish my current career and then I want to start working for a few years before starting to study again.

I want to study some related with psychology because I really like my career and I think that is necessary to professionalize and get more and better tools and skills to help others. I think that the subjects that I would like to study are child's phycology, familiar therapy, and game therapy because my dream job is related to these areas.

I would like to study outside of Chile, I would like to study in Spain because the Master’s Programs related with psychology are very broad, there are programs in different areas. I would like to study with face to face classes because I think is most probably that I can understand and learn, and I don’t really like the online mode. I would like to study in Spain and then back to Chile to work in vulnerable sectors because I want to help in the national reality and help the people that they do not have the resources to receive this assistance.

    Hi Jimena! I think is a very good goal uwu And also I'm very interested in mixing psychology with game therapy! (because I love to play XD) So it could be cool if you shared it if you achieve it!

Blog 5: Changes to my study program

Hi everyone! Today I am going to write about changes that could be made in my career. About the curriculum I think is very complete, in fact it was one of the reasons for choosing the University of Chile. I like it very much that can be followed immediately a more specific line of psychology. Regarding the length of studies, I think that is a necessary time for training and about the workload I consider that so far that are not so time-consuming the different subject but in second year there are a lot of subjects, and this leads to an increased workload. While with respect to the faculty facilities I think that there are many things that need changes. Particularly in the faculty of social sciences we need more study spaces and spaces where we can take shelter from the cold.
