Blog 6: English Language Challenges

Hi everyone! Today in the last blog I´m going to talk about my experience learning English at university and the use of blogs. First, about the blogs I think that were a very useful tool, because I was able to practice writing, grammar and vocabulary. And about the class I consider that were very practical and interesting, for the content and the dynamic of the class. I really like to watch videos about entertainment and artist, but at the same time watch videos about social and political contents. Another thing that I like for this class it was promote the use of English in the class because I learn more vocabulary. Finally I like the text that we had to read because the content was about social or political content and it made us think about that problem or situation. Regarding the aspects of my English need to be improved, I think that I need improved reading comprehension and I want to read in English some books that I read. Blog 5: Changes to my study program

Hi everyone! Today I am going to write about changes that could be made in my career. About the curriculum I think is very complete, in fact it was one of the reasons for choosing the University of Chile. I like it very much that can be followed immediately a more specific line of psychology. Regarding the length of studies, I think that is a necessary time for training and about the workload I consider that so far that are not so time-consuming the different subject but in second year there are a lot of subjects, and this leads to an increased workload. While with respect to the faculty facilities I think that there are many things that need changes. Particularly in the faculty of social sciences we need more study spaces and spaces where we can take shelter from the cold. Finally, it is necessary to enable the casino that we have in the faculty because there are few places to get food. Blog 4: Post-Graduate Studies

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to talk about postgraduate studies. I considered studying in a Master’s Program because I really like to learn new things and is an opportunity to enrich my knowledge. But now I'm still not sure in which area specifically but I have some ideas. First, I want to finish my current career and then I want to start working for a few years before starting to study again. I want to study some related with psychology because I really like my career and I think that is necessary to professionalize and get more and better tools and skills to help others. I think that the subjects that I would like to study are child's phycology, familiar therapy, and game therapy because my dream job is related to these areas. Blog 3: My dream job

Hi everyone! Today I am going to talk about my dream job. Even before I started to study psychology, I imagined my dream job, principally I want to have a job focused in child psychology. Still I don´t know if I want to work in a clinic or in a community, because I really like social psychology. I participate in an organization with children is social risk and my dream job is that I can to collaborate with the psychology in this area. I want to can help the people especially children because I think that in this age that the main problems appear. And in that social context, exist a lot of problems in the family, school and friendships. Also I prefer the child psychology because I think that the therapy can be more didactic and fun . In fact I want to take a master´s degree about the importance of the game. For this job I need some abilities like know listen to the patient, empathy, know to manage groups. Blog 2: The best vacation ever

Hi everyone! I chose to talk about the best vacation ever. I went in 2019 to Orlando and Miami with my parents, my brother, and my sister. We went for two weeks, one in Orlando and the other in Miami. In Orlando we went to Disneyland and the Universal Studios. Those days were exhausting because we had to walk a lot but also were incredible. We went on many attractions, we visit many beautiful places, and we met our favorite characters, in my case Winnie the Pooh. Also in Miami was a place of rest, we go to the beach, shopping, and the zoo. What I most enjoyed was the food because we take pleasure in some of the American culture that is seen in the series and movies like hearty breakfast and the fast food. This is my best vacation ever because it is a place that I always wanted to go. I really love Disney and Harry Potter, so this was a place I had to get to know.

Blog 1: A country I would like to visit

Hi everyone! Sincerely I want to travel many countries, but today I am going to talk about Spain. I would like to visit that country because I think that is very interesting for its culture, architecture and history.  Spain is a European country with a democratic monarchy and its capital is Madrid. In this country the people speaks Spanish so I don’t have problem with the language. My best friend lived in Spain when he was young so I have some recommendation to places that I need to visit. I would like to visit the different museums for I learn about the history and the culture. Also I would like go around to the different cities from Spain, like Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia. I would like to study there because I want to make a master's degree in psychology, so I would like to live there for only a few years because I really like to visit other countries in the future, but maybe I will love Spain and I will want to stay there.
